Welcome to Sevenswest Taxidermy located six miles Northeast of Overbrook, Kansas. I am focused on providing high-quality service and customer satisfaction. I will do everything I can to meet your expectations. I am always learning the most advanced techniques by participating in numerous seminars and competitions across the country. My specialties are in life-size mammals and game heads, although I offer all taxidermy and tanning related services.

We are only a 30-minute drive from Topeka, Lawrence, or Ottawa and only an hour from southern Kansas City, including Olathe, KS, Shawnee, KS, Overland Park, KS, Lenexa, KS and most of Johnson County in Kansas. We are also only a short drive from Baldwin City and Gardner, Kansas.

We can pick up your deer from the meat lockers located in Ottawa, Meriden, Topeka, Tonganoxie, and Overbrook.

Be sure to think twice before price shopping and taking your trophy to the cheapest taxidermist. I am a full-time Master taxidermist.

My Bio ~
I am Alex Zajac, co-owner of Sevenswest Taxidermy with my wife Andrea, located NE of Overbrook, Kansas. I grew up in Northwest Missouri in the small town of Plattsburg about an hour North of Kansas City, Missouri.

I began doing taxidermy as a hobby in 1990. I started doing this full-time in 2004. Taxidermy has always been a part of my life. During these past years I have worked in many other taxidermy studios including studios in Idaho, Kansas, Wyoming, Nebraska, and Missouri.

As an outdoorsman I have hunted and fished in many places from Idaho to Florida to New Mexico and so many others in between, so I understand the importance of taking good care of your trophy. All too often trophies are not mountable due to poor handling either by the hunter, or unfortunately by an inexperienced or careless taxidermist. If you are not sure about how to handle your game please give me a call or keep my number on hand for any questions you may have in the future.

I have many mounts on display in my studio, so please feel free to make an appointment to stop by and see the quality of workmanship that will go into your trophy. I can help you decide which pose, stance & attitude would be appropriate for your trophy mount.
